THe last edition was the most complete and it has special importance due to its contribution to the promotion of the city, The main goals of this fair are, to develop the main actions of the tourism of Almendralejo, based on its olives, wines, liquors and gastronomy, moreover to promote the city in differents frameworks and forums. With the desire of increase the economic and cultural development and making efforts to streghten the cultural gastronomy, wine culture and olives culture. thanks to this market was created that fair.
The main acts and events that are developed in that week consists on lectures where gastronomic professionals display their knowledge and debate with the public about our cuisine, these talks are complemented by the introduction of new products of the year in a ceremony that takes place in Wine and Olives Pavilion. Moreover are also conducted some open doors days at wineries, distilleries and olives companies for the public to know the operation and the work carried out in these companies, also they offer the "tasting menus" in which restaurants interested in participating submit a tasting menu based on the cuisine of Extremadura, which include wine, olives and spirits Almendralejo and all at an affordable price, not to mention "The route from the top" in which the bars and cafes put a fixed price for a wine and a tapa to bring participants in.
